Loft-style apartments in Shoreditch nearing completion

Our mixed use residential building in the heart of Shoreditch is almost finished and will create 8 large 'loft-style' luxury apartments for rental.

The scheme is influenced by local historic workhouses and factories, utilising full height windows, double height spaces at ground level and a robust material palette of dark engineering brick and exposed concrete. The curved tip of the building steps down to address the scale of its context, completing a triangle of existing historic ‘bullnose‘ buildings.

The proposal is organised with double height café and restaurant spaces at the lower levels, addressing a bustling outdoor market, with high-quality residential space above. The internal layout of the apartments has been organised to provide flexibility for their users. All living, kitchen and dining areas are open plan and dual aspect with full height windows throughout to maximise natural daylight. Where possible, the second bedroom has a removable partition in order to open the space up to the living area. A rooftop garden and balconies provide external space to the apartments, accessible through full height sliding glazed doors. A planted screen and raised beds on the roof garden create privacy from passing Overground trains.
